Ben Franklin Institute of Technology & MMTA Enter Agreement

The Ben Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston (www.bfit.edu), with whom the MA Marine Trades Educational Trust (MMTET) has recently executed a Memorandum of Understanding relative to Marine Trades Curriculum and who will enroll their first class of Marine Trades students in September, 2005 is hosting a fundraiser and auction on Saturday evening, April 16, 2005. MMTET has endorsed the curriculum and looks forward to continuing to support BFIT with assistance and advice as requested.

If you are interested in supporting the mission of BFIT, there are two (2) ways you can help. The first is to consider donating an item or service that may be auctioned for the benefit of BFIT, the other is to attend the Fundraising dinner itself. While no Association nor Trust monies will be used, a Table (s) will be reserved in the name of the MA Marine Trades Educational Trust in the event you would like to attend. Each ticket for the evening event is $100 and Guests are welcome. If you reply to this email, we would be happy to coordinate the logistics on your behalf. Additional detail is included in the attached document for your review.

Already we have received donations to the Auction from Constitution Marina, Marina Bay on Boston Harbor and Burr Brothers Boatyard.

This is a purely social evening to benefit a great cause that furthers the education of young people looking to pursue a career in the marine trades. If you would like to contribute an item for auction or join us for a fun Saturday evening in Boston, please reply to MMTA Executive Director, Leona Roach at Leona.Roach@boatMA.com at your earliest opportunity but no later than March 11, 2005.
