It is with great personal and professional sadness that I share the news of Ray Gaffey's passing.

The notice as it appeared in this morning's Boston Globe read as follows:
Gaffey, J. Raymond Jr: Of Scituate, September 8, 2005. Beloved husband of Jean (Copinger). Devoted father of Joyce Ferris of Montpelier, VT, Martha Sawyer of Scituate, J. Raymond III of North Hampton, NH and Ann Madden of Scituate.
Please join me in extending heartfelt sympathy to Jean and family.

From Boston and the North:

Take the South East Expressway, Rt. 93, to the junction of Rt.128/95 and Rt. 3. Keep to the left to be able to take Rt. 3 South to Exit 14, Rockland, Cohasset & Rt. 228.

At the end of the ramp Home Depot will be across the street.
Turn Left at the stoplight onto Rt. 228. Proceed .6 mile to Queen Anne’s Corner, which is the junction of Rt. 53 and 228.

Proceed through straight through the lights, continuing on Rt. 228 North, for 5.6 miles. You will be at the junction of Rt. 228 and Rt. 3A.

Turn Right onto Rt. 3A South for 2.7 miles to the stoplight at Rt. 3A and Pond St. You will pass through a set of traffic lights with the Cohasset Super Stop and Shop on your left prior to the lights at Pond St.

Turn Left on Pond St. for .8 miles. You will pass the Cohasset High-Middle School on your left at the top of the first hill. At the end of the Pond St. there is a Stop Sign and a large boulder on your right. Turn Right onto Spring St. and travel .1-mile. St Anthony’s Catholic church will be on your left and The McNamara Sparrell Funeral Home will across the street from the church at One Summer St.

Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot of St. Anthony’s Church, to the left, behind the building.

From Cape Cod and the South:

Drive North on Route 3 to Exit 14 for Rt. 228. At the end of the exit ramp Turn Right at the stoplight. This is Rt. 53 North. Follow it for 0.5 of a mile to the junction of Rt. 228 and Rt. 53.

Proceed through straight through the lights, continuing on Rt. 228 North, for 5.6 miles. You will be at the junction of Rt. 228 and Rt. 3A.

Drive to the stoplight at the junction of Route 3A and Pond St. Coming from the South make a Right Turn onto Pond St. Coming from the North make a Left Turn onto Pond St.
