ESCAPE THE COLD AND CRUISE INTO SPRING
AT THE 51ST ANNUAL NEW ENGLAND BOAT SHOW

Whether you're buying, browsing or learning, The 51st New England Boat Show, endorsed by the non-profit Massachusetts Marine Trades Association, is a great place to start boating. Opening this weekend for an eight day run at the half million square foot Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the 2007 show offers a chance to see what's new in boating. "The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association is proud to endorse a world class Boat Show in the capital of the Commonwealth. The New England Boat Show draws tens of thousands of boat browsers and buyers in from the cold to a world of summer in the heart of Boston," stated Kurt Saunders, MMTA President. "MMTA members are especially grateful for the opportunity to fill this world class facility with a show that affords our members access to boaters from throughout New England."

With over 350 marine exhibitors displaying services, accessories and nearly 1,000 power boats and full rigged sail boats up to 50 feet, it's great fun to see the latest and greatest and to imagine which luxury cruiser you'll climb aboard when your ship finally does come in…but there are plenty of practical reasons to buy a ticket as well. Whether you dream of a boat to fish, sail, cruise, ski, row or race, you will have a thousand choices at this year's show. For the first time in 2007, "Massachusetts-Built Boats" will be prominently featured and identified within the show, calling attention to the legacy and craftsmanship of these Commonwealth based boat builders.

The New England Boat Show is a great place to shop and compare.
Few dealerships offer the breadth of assortment, excitement and hands-on shopping experience of the New England Boat Show. You'll see boat of all makes, types and sizes and can easily compare cost, size, features and warranties of the models that interest you most. And, with so many dealers under one roof, vying for your business, the competitive atmosphere can really benefit your bottom line. If you're new to boating there's really no better place to educate yourself on the many options available so you can make a smart decision when you do buy.

The New England Boat Show is a great place to learn.
In addition to dealers, service providers, manufacturers, brokers and boat builders, there are plenty of non-profit and volunteer boating organizations offering education and information to both new and experienced boaters including the Discover Boating exhibit, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, the MA Harbormasters Association and the Massachusetts Environmental Police. Complimentary seminars will be offered to all show visitors, such as Getting Your Captain's License and Basic Radar Operation. Included with paid admission is a one-year subscription to Motor Boating, Yachting or Salt Water Sportsman. Attending the show is a great way to educate yourself on the many aspects of boating and get a free boating magazine subscription, all for the price of admission.

The New England Boat Show is fun for the whole family.
Boating is a great family activity-and the boat show is an exciting, family-oriented event that includes plenty of fun for youngsters. Kids love exploring the new boats with their parents- climbing aboard, taking a seat at the helm and pretending to be captain of a great ship. Visitors to the 2007 show will be amazed by the new BCEC facility itself and the direct, easy access from Route I-93, 1,600 on-site parking spots, and free shuttles to and from off-site parking facilities.
