Baert Marine Moves To Middleton Location After 34 Years.  Baert Marine of Danvers Massachusetts is excited to announce the completion of its new facility in Middleton Massachusetts. The new location, which is located directly off Route 114 in Middleton, is approximately four miles from Baert's current landmark facility.  The all new Baert Marine will feature an indoor boat showroom that will display 30 to 35 boats as well as a marine store displaying marine accessories, fishing gear and water sports.

The new facility will also feature a 5,500 square foot boat prep and service area providing care and parts for all products carried. Baert Marine founded in 1973 by William Baert Jr. and Warren Kelly, has been a consistent award winning dealership, most recently having received Top 100 Dealer Awards from the boating industry for 2005 and 2006.  Products carried are Grady-White Boats, Yamaha Outboards, Crownline Boats, Jones Brothers Boats, Mercury Inflatable and Load Rite Trailers. For more information: www.baertmarine.com or call 978-774-7712

Burr Brothers Boats of Marion MA was recently awarded The Commitment to Marine Training Award for its dedication to training and professional development for its employees by the American Boat Builders & Repairer's Association.

New Bedford's Edson Corporation won top honor at 2006 METS Show in Amsterdam for its Pump Out Nozzle with Splash Guard.  The DAME Jury Report described Edson's innovative product as "a great example of how design effort can improve established equipment."

Did you know that Larry Innis, MA Marine Trades Associations "Man in Washington" (and whose articles have appeared here numerous times) was last year awarded with a "First Watch" Clean Boating Award?  The award by Dometic Sanitation recognizes Larry for his role "influencing and implementing the blueprint for the for successful Clean Boating and Clean Marina programs."  Dometic President Ed McKiernan stated that "Innis was instrumental in crafting the legislative language that led to the 1992 Clean Vessel Act… as a result of the Clean Vessel Act there are over 5,000 dockside pumps in operation today…"  Larry Innis is of course also MRAA's Director of Government Relations as Associate Member of NASBLA and a major contributor to MEEF.
