Your Internet Committee – Greg Glavin, Pam Shattuck, and Dave Watson – has been busy improving our web page.

They are planning to offer so-called “Banners” at the top of our various web pages to advertise individual members. These will be shown for one month, rotating among the MMTA pages. The introductory fee will be $50 per month.

This does not include any production costs if needed by the dealer or advertiser. Any retail customer will be exposed to your Banner as he scans through the web site. There will only be 20 banners each month, with first come – first served. You cannot reserve any month and, unless space allows, a dealer cannot repeat each month so all members will be able to advertise.

Hopefully, those who attended the New England Boat Show in February, noticed the banner over the front entrance advertising our web site – “100’s of Marine Businesses & Thousands of Boats” - “boatma.com”. You also should look in the Boston Globe for our classified ad under Yachts & Boats for the web site– boatma.com. This is planned to be expanded to other papers shortly.

Every member should check carefully their category on our web page. If you haven’t supplied any detailed listing for the web page or annual directory, your category may be too broad. For example, a Dealer may want to expand his listing to include the lines of boats carried. Remember, we’re now getting about 1000 “hits” per day with customers spending about 9 minutes per session!
