After some years, the Mass. Environmental Police is exploring the development of a vessel and recreational vehicle registration system for newly purchased vessels or recreational vehicles at qualified dealerships. Boat title applications would be completed at the same time. In addition, the Registry of Motor Vehicles would extend to the same qualified dealers the opportunity to also handle the registration of a vessel trailer.
There will be a half-day demo of the plan in late September if dealers show enough interest. Call Ms. Beverly Prosper – (617-626-1650) - to sign up. Such a program has been promoted by MMTA for some time to benefit dealers who have those “impulse buyers” who want to get on the water immediately. Call as soon as possible to express your interest!
