Frank Farrell, Executive Director of the Mass. Marine Trades Association for 25 years, died January 3, 2001 at New England Medical Center. He had been instrumental in the formation of the New England Marine Trades Assn. and later the MMTA. As an employee of the Boston Herald, he helped produce the first New England Boat Show. In 1983, Frank became the Manager of the Bayside Exposition Center and continued until 1987 where he organized the Boston Boat Show and later, helped plan MMTA's Fall Boat Show and In-the-Water Show. A truly respected member of the marine industry, he was made the First Honorary Member of MMTA in 1999. He will be missed! Visiting hours are 2-4 and 7-9 Friday, January 5th at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Avenue, Milton, MA. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agatha Church, Adams Stree, Milton, MA on Saturday, January 6th at 9:00 am. Both locations are off Exit 9 on the Southeast Expressway. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Boston College High School, 150 Morrissey Blvd., Dorchester, MA 02124.
