The Mass. Marine Trades Association has been actively promoting boating throughout the Commonwealth for many years. Your marine trades association is always searching for new volunteers in the marine industry that recognize the need to promote recreational boating and take the time in their busy schedules to make a difference. The Public Relations and Publicity Committee is pleased to announce that the following volunteers have stepped forward to serve on this very important committee. Michael Myers, owner of Boston Yacht Sales, has been active in recreational boating for many years and runs a very successful yacht sales organization on the South Shore. Primarily new powerboat dealers and yacht brokers, Boston Yacht Sales has been serving the public since 1953. Michael understands the need to promote boating to ensure a healthy future, and has said that he recognizes the amount of work that MMTA board members have done to promote the industry. Michael currently serves on the national board of YBAA (Yacht Brokers Association of America) as well as being a state board member for CCA (Coastal conservation Association). Clark Goebel and Tina Giambro have come to the committee from Marina Bay, the states largest marina and now one of the larger waterfront facilities in the Northeast. Clark started at Marina Bay as a dockhand in the early 80s, continued to work at the marina throughout his college years,. After working at almost every aspect of the marina world, is now the General Manager of Marina Bay for Marinas International LLC. Tina Giambro has been a resident of the Marina Bay community for 11 years. She joined the staff as a carpenter and is now waterfront Manager for Marina Bay where she works on marketing, customer relations, and the day-to-day operations of the facility. Finally we would like to welcome Jack Kent III to the Public Relations Committee. Jack is third generation at Bayside Marine in Duxbury and has been in and around the boat business his entire life. Jack spent his high school summers grinding and painting bottoms and during college he spent his time in the marine store. After graduation he took on the duties of store manager; then, after working a few years for a marine distributor, he became the Parts Manager at Bayside Marine (where he tells us he can still be found painting bottoms!).
