DEALER NUMBER USE
May 2001
The following allowable uses for Dealer Numbers has been agreed to by the Environmental Police:
- 1. The original dealer registration MUST be on board and available. NO duplicates will be accepted.
- 2. Lost Dealer Numbers will NOT be replaced and will be reported to Environmental Police immediately. NO duplicate numbers or a sticker will be issued. NEW Dealer Registration Numbers will be issued in the dealer’s name to replace the lost one.
- 3. Dealers using their dealer plates must have some type of identifier prominently displayed by means of a banner or placard. Size to be at least the minimum number size allowed under section c. 90B. (3”)
- 4. Dealers participating in “in-the-water boat shows where multiple boats are being brought to the show, the dealer is responsible to forward a list of HINs and descriptions to the Environmental Police. After review, temporary permission may be granted the respective dealer allowing that dealer to keep these vessels in the water for the duration of the show. Said permission will be in the form of an official letter or FAX sent the dealer prior to the event. When testing, demonstrating, or transferring these boats, the dealer will affix one of his dealer placards with dealer numbers. This will also apply to tournaments and dealer demo days.
- 5. Expansion of authorized use of dealers numbers will include the use of a dealer owned boat for recreational activities by the dealer or prospective buyer as long as the placard requirement is met and original registration is on board.
