  • EOEA Meeting

At a meeting of state agencies using outboard motors or PWCs called by the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA) at the direction of Bob Durand, Secretary, the implementation of a new policy to replace 2-stroke engines with newer and cleaner 4-stroke and DFI 2-strokes was outlined. All five agencies represented agreed to implement this policy ASAP. Some problems reported were weight and cost. Subsequently we have agreed to provide EOEA with a list of our members who could supply the state with the proper engines. Because of servicing requirements, the State prefers to purchase from local dealers wherever possible.
