  • Mercury Program

Curt Ainsworth (left) of Cape Cod Regional Technical High School accepts award from Ren Nichols, President of MMTA, to purchase tools and cabinets for Cape cod Tech’s Training Center. An award of up to $6,000. had been approved by Mass. Marine Trades Association in December.

Cape Cod Tech has been appointed a regional training center for Mercury Marine where Mercury and Mercruiser technicians will be trained. Training will begin this coming school year; presently it is being used for government courses for Mercury engines.

Mercury dealers in Eastern Massachusetts will not have to send their employees out-of-state as in the past.

This will also provide training for Cape Cod Tech students enrolled in the Marine Service Technology Program there. A good source of marine technicians upon graduation from high school!
