Starting April 15th, MMTA has ordered TV spots based on the highly successful Water works Wonders promotion developed by the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF). The Association has approved a $60,000. program of 420, 30-second “spots” in every AT & T cable household – or 1,253,027 homes - in the state, starting at 6:00 AM and running to 12 midnight. Networks involved include The Discovery Channel, ESPN, TBS, USA, A & E, CNN, Nickelodeon, CNBC, Bravo, MSNBC, NECN and others. In addition, the MMTA spots will share unsold ones available on all the above networks. Dealers can extend this campaign with commercials tagged for their dealership at a preferential price. FREE listing available for all members on the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation’s (RBFF) web site – www.WaterWorksWonders.org. This is part of a national advertising campaign launched in 2001 where the plan is to have this web site the place for all basic information on where to fish and boat, and to increase participation in recreational fishing and boating.
There are free campaign materials available to dealers by requesting a Water Works Wonders Co-op Program Guide containing two CDs and hundreds of ways to use the elements. To request the co-op binder, go to www.rbff.org and click on “Cooperative Marketing Program” or call RBFF at 703-519-0013. Join other local dealers already enrolled and using these very successful materials. Ads are both on TV and in many boating magazines.
