  • ALLEN HARBOR RENOVATION

Ground has been broken this week at Allen Harbor Marine Service on Lower County Road in Harwichport,MA for a large renovation project which includes a new Parts and Service Center. Employees joined ninety-four year old Rupert Nichols, his son Ren and service manager Craig LeBlanc in getting the project underway. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-April just prior to the busy spring launching season. The new parts and service center which represents the first major renovations at the Harwichport yard since the early 1960’s, will include retail marine store space, parts inventory and stockroom as well as an employee training area and customer lounge and waiting room.

Allen Harbor Marine Service, established in 1927 is open year-round Monday through Friday and seven days a week during the busy summer season and employs twenty-eight full time personnel. In addition to its service center, Allen Harbor features boat sales, a cleaning and detailing company and nautical uniform and embroidery company.

“The new service department will add just one more dynamic toward making Allen Harbor Marine Service the quality boating headquarters on Cape Cod”, said Nichols.
