    ANOTHER WINNER!

Another Successful In-the-Water Boat show was held Oct. 2nd thru 5th. In spite of inclement weather on Saturday and Red Sox and Patriots games on Sunday, attendance was excellent and reported sales better than ever!

Again this year, the Bonanza give-away total of $250,000 was exceeded on Sunday early afternoon by $63,000! However, it is anticipated that dealer Bonanza payments will still go through, even for the last ones registering, due to the normal “slippage” in sales.

Total Bonanza sales were up 14% over last years or $16,585,384. While total units were down slightly (187 vs. 199), larger boats and somewhat higher prices, attributed to this increase. Total dealers involved remained the same at 27.

In tracking category sales this year, Fishing boats were the most popular closely followed by Sport boats. 29% of the sales by units were in the 21 to 24 foot size. About 24% were in the 30 foot and over range.

Warren Kelly and his crew are again to be complimented on their success with few problems in either the move-in or move-out. It should be noted that the inside space this year was quite busy with more exhibitors.

The reception this year at Anthony’s Pier 4 was enjoyed by about 300 people. The MMTA Annual Meeting was held at 6:30 followed by an extensive buffet and open bar. Elections of 2004 Officers and Directors were held.
