Member 2 Member Benefit Program

The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association has approximately 200 members. We believe that many of our members offer products or services that many of our other members may benefit from. With this in mind, we would like to create a program that allows our members to offer a discount or special offer to other MMTA members and their employees.

If you would like to participate in this Member-2-Member benefits program please fill out the form (Click Here) and return it back to Randall. The MMTA Board will review and approve the offers and come up with a new section on our website to market them in addition to sending out by E-news to our members.

The member 2 member program allows MMTA members to make offers to other MMTA members to be used by the member and their employee. This program will be marketed on the MMTA website and by E-news and member offers will be approved on an ongoing basis at upcoming Board meetings.

Offer Details - Employment Counsel On-Call Risk Management Protection. There are choppy waters ahead for MMTA members: in 2018, the legislature signed into law a number of Bills that create what some refer to as the perfect storm for employers, including paid family leave, significant changes to the rules and laws that govern Non-Competition Agreements, increases to the minimum wage, new Sunday overtime rules, just to name a few. The On-Call Service will bring calm to the chaos so you can focus on your business. MMTA members will have direct telephonic and email access to the lawyers at Foley & Foley to help address HR-Related Risk and Employment Law Compliance issues when they arise. The cost for the MMTA business will be a fixed monthly fee that is similar to what most experienced employment lawyers charge by the hour.

Offer Details - IYRS offers 4 full-time training programs: Boatbuilding & Restoration, Marine Systems, Composites Technology and Digital Modeling & Fabrication. In addition to our full-time programs, we are interested in helping MMTA members with custom programming needs. Let us know how we can help train new hires or your existing workforce.

MMTA Member - The Landing School in Arundel, ME
Offer Details - The Landing School is committed to preparing people for a career in the marine industry, and to do this we need students. If a prospective student can show up with a simple letter of referral from a member of the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association, we will automatically give them a $500 scholarship. This could be raised to $1,000 if matching funds are provided by the member towards the students' tuition. Please help us to make this educational opportunity a possibility for those that you know that have the potential to succeed in this industry.

The MMTA will not be endorsing products or services. MMTA has made this program available as a member benefit and the approved meet the criteria for the program.

There will be no cost to participate in this program and we encourage members to come up with offers that will be useful and valuable to other marine related businesses.
