Established in 1964, the Massachusetts Marine
Trades Association is the statewide, representative
body for over 1,200 marine trades businesses in the
Commonwealth. Our broad membership is comprised of
boat builders, dealers, and brokers as well as marinas,
boatyards, retailers, insurers and finance agents.
Massachusetts marine businesses generate nearly $2
billion in annual economic activity for the Commonwealth
and employ over 27,000 men and women while offering
a wide variety of marine services including sales,
repair, restoration and maintenance as well as dockage,
moorings, rack and upland storage services.
The mission of the Association is to further the interests
of the marine trades and the boating public through
the promotion of boating, participation in legislation,
sponsorship of professional improvement programs and
scholarships.
